Borrowing of Materials

All bona fide OLFU students, faculty members, staff, and authorized outside researchers are eligible to borrow library materials from the Learning Resource Center (LRC), subject to the existing library policies, borrowing privileges, and requirements of the institution.

Students, Faculty and Staff

three (3) Circulation books for 7 days/1 week
two (2) Fiction books for 7 days/1 week
one (1) Reserve Book for 2 days
one (1) Reference Book for classroom use only
Students are required to return the borrowed books/materials on time to avoid an overdue penalty.

Outside Researcher

All LRC books and materials are restricted to Room Use Only for outside researchers.

Room Use Only Materials
The LRC develops a robust and up-to-date Reference Collection across various formats. This collection includes materials such as:

Almanacs, encyclopedias, biographies, dictionaries, handbooks, guides, maps, and atlases.
Journals and relevant magazines.
Audio-visual materials can be accessed on the computers in the Multimedia Area.
Thesis collections.

Review Materials

Alumni, quizzers, and bona fide OLFU students shall be allowed to use the review material collections of the LRC.
Alumni, quizzers, and OLFU students shall be required to present their ID before entering the review materials section of the LRC.
Upon presentation of the OLFU ID card, alumni, quizzers, and OLFU students shall be required to register their name in the Users of LRC Review Material Collection Logbook.
The review materials of the LRC are allowed for a week loan.

Checked-out items may be renewed to extend the borrowing period through face-to-face transactions, and the physical book must be presented upon renewal.
Patrons may renew borrowed books under their account for a maximum of two (2) times, with or without reservation.
Upon renewal, a new due date shall be assigned in accordance with the library’s loan policy, after which the item must be returned.

Borrowed materials must be returned at the designated counters of the LRC Units within the respective service hours of each LRC.
All borrowed materials should be returned on or before the due date.
Materials not renewed or returned on or before the prescribed due date will automatically incur a penalty based on the borrowing privileges and penalty stated.
All incurred penalty amounts will be automatically charged to the patron's account in the Student Financial Services.

The overdue penalty shall be based on the type of book borrowed.

For Students:
• Circulation books shall incur an overdue fine of ₱10.00 per day.
• Reserve and reference books shall incur an overdue fine of ₱30.00 per day.

All overdue charges shall be automatically recorded in the Phoenix system.

For Faculty:

Faculty members are exempt from paying overdue fines. This exemption is intended to encourage the active utilization of Learning Resource Center (LRC) resources and services.
